Wisconsin Statute 941.25 requires manufacturers of machine guns to keep a register of all the guns they manufacture or handle. The register must show the following:
- Model and serial number
- Date of manufacture
- The sale, loan, gift, delivery, or receipt, of every machine gun made
- The name, address, and occupation of the person to whom the machine gun was sold, loaned, given, or delivered, or from whom it was received
- The purpose for which the gun was acquired by the person to whom it was sold, loaned, given, or delivered, or from whom received
The statute also requires every manufacturer to allow any law enforcement officer to inspect his or her entire stock of machine guns, parts, and supplies and to produce the register for inspection.
